Five political parties of Iranian Kurdistan officially announced the formation of the "Alliance of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan" in a joint meeting.

On the morning of Sunday, March 3, the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran(HDKA), the Kurdistan Freedom Party(PAK), the Kurdistan Free Life Party(PJAK), the Khbat Organization of Kurdistan Iran, and the Komala of the Toilers of Kurdistan held a meeting with the presence of their senior officials and signed the platform of this alliance.

In this meeting, Mostafa Hijri, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran(HDKA), stated that the formation of this alliance is an important necessity on the path of political struggle in Iranian Kurdistan. He added: “This alliance is the result of several months of dialogue to reach understanding and establish militant relations based on a common platform, and with its official announcement, a new phase of joint effort and struggle begins.”

Hijri emphasized that the goal of this alliance is to create unity and convergence in order to take advantage of opportunities and neutralize threats and dangers in Iranian Kurdistan, so that the members of this alliance can collectively play an effective and worthy role in the political developments of Iran and Kurdistan. He also noted that this union is not against any other political current or force, and he hopes that with its expansion, other forces and political currents will also join it.
