Hassan Sharafi, a member of the leadership of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI), has said the party is prepared to send ground forces into Iran in support of U.S. and Israeli airstrikes.
Speaking to TV 2 correspondent Benjamin Kürstein, Sharafi confirmed that the party has been in contact with the United States and is ready to take on an operational role inside Iranian territory if the conflict escalates further.
He said PDKI forces could provide ground support for the coalition’s aerial operations. His remarks come amid rising tensions in the region and point to the possibility of new fronts opening inside Iran.
